Last week, Amarsul welcomed a group of military personnel from SEPNA – the GNR’s Nature and Environment Protection Service – on a visit to the Setúbal Ecopark, with the aim of learning about the operations carried out in the field of waste management and recovery.
During the visit, the officers observed the composting process and had the opportunity to learn about the different stages involved in the treatment of organic waste, from its reception through to the production of compost.
The visit also provided a better understanding of the work carried out by Amarsul in waste management and recovery, as well as the importance of correctly channelling organic waste to ensure its effective use and contribute to more efficient resource management.
Occasions such as this promote the sharing of knowledge and foster contact between different organisations, helping to raise awareness of the importance of waste recovery and environmental protection.
